Sustainability of the project

The CLEANSURE project implemented various measures to achieve a broad and sustainable impact and raise awareness of environmental protection and sustainability both in schools and beyond. One focus was on the creation of new teaching materials and digital resources that would firmly anchor topics such as environmental protection, climate change and sustainable development in everyday school life. These materials were specifically designed to motivate pupils and teachers to acquire sustainable skills and promote environmentally conscious behavior.

Workshops and training courses for teachers were organised to make the best use of the materials. These training courses conveyed best practices in the field of environmental education and promoted the exchange of innovative pedagogical approaches through job shadowing and transnational meetings. Teachers were able to learn from each other and integrate new methods into their lessons.

Another aim of the project was to spread awareness of sustainability beyond schools and into families. To this end, workshops were organized for pupils and their families to encourage changes in consumption habits and lifestyles. The pupils acted as multipliers, passing on what they had learnt to their families and thus promoting a sustainable lifestyle at home too.

In addition to providing basic information on the eTwinning platform, the project partners also decided to develop their own internet platform to disseminate the project results. On the cleansure.eu website, parents and pupils who do not speak English can obtain comprehensive information about the project. The site offers a multilingual read-aloud function so that information is available in English, Spanish, Portuguese and Italian. In addition, all teaching and learning materials produced in the project, as well as the project reports and good practice guidelines, have been made available to the public via an extensive download area of the website. This area makes it possible to download all of the project's resources directly and use them in your own educational work or for personal learning purposes.

Evaluation and long-term impact: To ensure the effectiveness of the project, regular baseline assessments were carried out to measure progress against specific indicators, such as the satisfaction and motivation of pupils and teachers and the integration of the project materials into everyday school life. Through the multilingual website cleansure.eu and dissemination via eTwinning and public events, a long-term impact was achieved that is intended to last beyond the duration of the project.
